After registering, please check your email for your login and password. It's recommended that you change the automatically generated password as soon as possible by visiting https://start.me/users/authentication
If you are not interested in the introduction, you can skip it.
Your start.me page is now set up and ready for use.
To start with, you will need to remove all of the pre-selected widgets in order to have a blank page.
Once all the widgets are removed, the bookmark widget screen will appear automatically. Add this widget to your page.
Add your first bookmark, and the system will automatically read the title tag and icon. However, you can modify them if desired. Once you click on the "Add" button, you will have created your first DoFollow Backlink. Keep in mind that your website is not yet visible to others.
Crucial settings to configure for start.me
In the upper right corner, go to the dashboard and select "ACCOUNT DETAILS" (https://start.me/users/edit). Here, you can manage your profile by adding information you want to share and adding a picture for your avatar. Your personal profile page will also provide DoFollow Backlinks, not only for your WordPress-Blog, but also for some social media channels. To achieve SEO success, it's important to give link power to several of these profiles and channels.
Switch to the "PAGES" tab by visiting https://start.me/users/pages.
Next, change the "SHARE SETTINGS" from "PRIVATE" to "PUBLIC LINK," and then close the window.
Your Social Bookmark Page or Personal Start Page is now visible to Google bots and other web crawlers on the World Wide Web.
Personalize your start.me homepage
On the page settings, you can click the three buttons on the right-hand side to "EDIT PAGE," allowing you to change the page's appearance.
This is where you can customize your page's colors and background, and even add your own wallpaper by clicking the plus (+) button to upload it.
Import your bookmarks from AllMyFaves.com to start.me
Now, you can import the bookmarks you stored in your AllMyFaves.com account to your new start.me account. Simply access the "add widgets" menu, and scroll to the end of the list to locate the import link. After importing, you may need to move the bookmark widget to your start page, but this is optional.
Incorporate your RSS-Feed and Twitter timeline into your start.me homepage.
To add your blog's RSS-feed, click on the plus (+) button and select "done." Typically, the RSS-feed URL for your blog will be your blog's URL followed by "/feed/." For example, the RSS-feed URL for my blog is https://namedomaine.com/feed/. It may take some time for the system to read and update the data.
You can follow a similar process to include your Twitter timeline on your start.me page. Install the widget, and then input your handle or channel name under "DISPLAY SETTINGS"
Asmall "ABOUT ME" widget is also available for free, but it is optional and not required.
Share your newly created backlink
Copy the newly generated link, which may appear as a cryptic URL, like in my case: https://start.me/p/vjR9R1/webalarab.
Remember to bookmark this link in your browser since you will need to access it daily for link building.
To ensure indexing, you'll need to publish this link on various platforms. As previously mentioned in the last articles, I will share it on this page, on lasso.net, protopage.com, and AllMyFaves.com. It's also a good idea to share it on existing social media channels. In this tutorial, I'll also provide you with a list of websites where you can publish the link.
Personal note: Out of all the start pages I've tested in the past, start.me is the most impressive and visually appealing one.
